Singer: Rita Kleinstein

Album: Milestones

Song: Ad She'ta'azov

I wish I'll have strength in me soon

not to break here in front of you

I wish I'll have strength

not to fall on my knees

from the gravity of love

I wish my eyes become blind

as long as you'll stay

that I wont see your face

that I wont reach my hands out to identify

mmm...in a little while

mmmm...I'll breathe slowly

I'll injure my hands until they will be paralyzed

wont come near your body

which I've known which I've loved

that my nose wont inhale the scent

god the scent

that I wont come down on my knees

for you to stay

I wish I'll have strength in me soon

not to break here in front of you

I wish I'll be strong

until you leave

that will be my only revenge

I'll injure my hands until they will be paralyzed

wont come near your body

which I've known which I've loved

that my nose wont inhale the scent

god the scent

that I wont come down on my knees...

I'll injure my hands until they will be paralyzed

wont come near your body

which I've known, which I've loved

that my nose wont inhale the scent

god the scent...

that I wont come down on my knees,

for you to stay.

Refugee Mother and Child

Refugee Mother and Child

by Chinua Achebe

No Madonna and Child could touch

that picture of a mother's tenderness

for a son she soon will have to forget.

The air was heavy with odors

of diarrhea of unwashed children

with washed-out ribs and dried-up

bottoms struggling in labored

steps behind blown empty bellies.

Most mothers there had long ceased

to care but not this one; she held

a ghost smile between her teeth

and in her eyes the ghost of a mother's

pride as she combed the rust-colored

hair left on his skull and then -

singing in her eyes - began carefully

to part it... In another life

this would have been a little daily

act of no consequence before his

breakfast and school; now she

did it like putting flowers

on a tiny grave.

"Refugee Mother and Child"

Summary:   The poem "Refugee Mother and Child" by Chinua Achebe deals with the sadness of death. The author conveys this theme by creating a tragic atmosphere through the introduction of shocking images and strong words.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In th poem "Refugee Mother and Child" by Chinua Achebe the sadness of death is shown by creating a tragic atmosphere by introducing shocking images and strong words.

At the beginning, in the first stanza, the author strikes us by telling us the child will soon die; "for a soon she soon will have to forget." This strong image of a mother and her son is more touching than the "Madonna and Child." The use of alliteration in "a son she soon" reinforces the idea of proximity of death.

The author uses simple and strong vocabulary, giving more emphasis to what is actually said than to the way it is said. This also helps in creating the tragic atmosphere by the use of words such a "diarrhoea" or "dried up ribs" or "washed out bottoms." we can clearly see that the child is suffering from starvation.

"When the poet mentions the "ghost smile", she tries to express that there once was a "smile between her teeth", but now it is slowly disappearing, referring to a ghost, but something still remains, she still remembers or longs for "her mothers pride" .

The fact that "Most mothers there had long ceased to care but not this one" reinforces the idea that she still wants to share time with her son .

A very shocking image used in the poem is the one where the mother combs her son, "as putting flowers in a tiny grave",preparing him for his funeral.

The author expresses the sadness of death by showing the way a mother says goodbye to her son.

“Through art, I lift the boundaries.
interpretation is not enough, and I only evolve when I create.”

دريافت

Like the sound of silence calling,
I hear your voice and suddenly
I'm falling, lost in a dream.
Like the echoes of our souls are meeting,
You say those words and my heart stops beating.
I wonder what it means.
What could it be that comes over me?
At times I can't move.
At times I can hardly breath.

When you say you love me,
The world goes still, so still and silent.
When you say you love me,
For a moment, there's no one else alive.

You're the one I've always thought of.
I don't know how, but I feel
sheltered in your love.
You're where I belong.
And when you're with me if I close my eyes,
[ Lyrics found at
www.mp3lyrics.org/1u ]
There are times I swear I feel like I can fly
For a moment in time.
Somewhere between the Heavens and Earth ,
And frozen in time, Oh when you say those words.

When you say you love me
The world goes still, so still and silent.
When you say you love me
For a moment there's no one else alive.

[ bridge: ]
And this journey that we're on.
How far we've come and I celebrate every moment.
And when you say you love me,
That's all you have to say.
I'll always feel this way.

When you say you love me
The world goes still, so still and silent.
When you say you love me
In that moment I know why I'm alive.

When you say you love me.
When you say you love me.
Do you know how I love you?

Dance me to the end of love
Download
lyric : Download

Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic til Im gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Oh let me see your beauty when the witnesses are gone
Let me feel you moving like they do in babylon
Show me slowly what I only know the limits of
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Me to the wedding now, dance me on and on
Dance me very tenderly and dance me very long
Were both of us beneath our love, were both of us above
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Dance me to the children who are asking to be born
Dance me through the curtains that our kisses have outworn
Raise a tent of shelter now, though every thread is torn
Dance me to the end of love

Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic till Im gathered safely in
Touch me with your naked hand or touch me with your glove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

happiness cannot

come from without.
it must come
com from within.
it is not what we
see and touch or
that which others
do for us
which makes us happy.
it is that which we
think and feel and do
first for the other fellow
and then for ourselves.

live one day at a time

live one day at a time

we cannot change the past.
we just need to keep
the good memories
and acquire wisdom
from the mistakes we ve made.
we cannot predict the future
we just need to hope and pray
for the best and what is right.
and believe that s how it will be.
we can live a day at a time.
enjoying the present
and always seeking to become
a more loving and better person.
